Welcome

Oak Field is a specialist primary base for children with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, which is located on the same site as Wood Field. We are a small and friendly school with a strong sense of passion, drive and community.

Our staff are committed to celebrating the children’s strengths and personalities whilst challenging them to be the very best they can be.

We are proud to offer a highly differentiated and engaging curriculum with a focus on independence, social interaction and communication. We use a variety of Autistic Spectrum Disorder specific strategies, bringing all ‘the best bits’ together to offer an eclectic approach. Class sizes vary from 6 – 8 children with a adult ratio which reflects the needs of children, meaning we are able to tailor our activities to meet their individual needs.

We recently conducted our annual parent survey in which we get feedback from all of our parent/carers about their views of the school. We had a really good response and would like to share this feedback, which can be found below.
